Is it normal to feel like there is a lump in your throat if you have gastritis/acid reflux?

I feel like there is a lump in my throat I had this feeling since I was 13 and now Im 18. I told my doctor he said its acid reflux and thats why I have that feeling. I’m just wondering is this a normal symptom of acid reflux? does the feeling ever go away??

I have had acid reflux since I was very little and now I am a teenager. I usually get the feeling too but after a while it tends to go away for me. Hope that helps some.
